My Hizaki AM cosplay is finally done! ^^ I just wanted to say thanks for everyone that helped me during the making of my cosplay and when I started this thread. It was a long, but very promising process. The final result will be posted in the "Cosplay Pics" thread~

Geez. I don't know if this is too late since you mention wanting to cosplay in July. Sorry I hadn't seen this thread sooner!
Anyhow, we're also planning to cosplay P&P next month (August) and now in the process of making all five of the costumes. We're lucky we're living in Bangkok where fabrics are not so expensive and we have a lot of variation to choose from. Still, finding them all is quite a pain. ^^""
N'Way, to the business: HIZAKI Prince & Princess Costume Fabrics:
The 'outer' part of the dress, I think Baby-san use printed corduroy fabric as the principle. I wouldn't be surprised if they had the fablic custom-made. But for us, we found a floral-printed fabric that looks passable in a curtain-fabric shop. A lot more 'econ-friendly' than corduroy. ^^"""
The flower in Hizaki's original's dress are supposed to be purple. So, we will paint those pink flower into purple later.
For the other parts there're two color of Satin. Creamy-white one for the upper part of the body and the inner-most sleeves and mild-rose-pink Satin for the whole inner skirt, which would then be layered-up-on by white lace fabric.
(the rose is for the hat.. that pic was taken before we see we need more roses for the back of the dress.. - -")
The outer-skirt also use dark red satin in lining. (I'd say about #990000 XD)
And you mustn't forget tons and tons of many many types and sizes of laces. (offwhite/cream/gold/golden-brown) The most difficult-to-find ones for me would be the gold lace which is used for almost 100m in this dress alone. Last time I cosplayed Versailles (RC) it takes us a longgg time to find the right kind of gold, and it's pretty costly. TwT
I haven't taken picture of all the laces that we're using in this dress yet. But I think you guys get the picture.
As for how many you'd need, that must depends on your measurement. My Hizaki (actually she's also on this thread XD)'s size is a standard Asian ones, so about 10m of outer-fablic. 4 of cream satin. 8 of pink satin. 4 of white lace fablic. 8 of red satin lining.[/img]
